One of the raunchiest holiday movies ever made also has a legit story of human spirit. This movie replaced “A Christmas Story” as one of my yearly viewing during December. If you’ve never seen the movie you are really missing out on some great music, laughs, and holiday spirit. I took a slightly more relaxed direction with this video, hopefully that comes through in viewing. Enjoy!
Wow, talk about barely making a deadline! Well, as promised here is the second episode for November. A little late, but better than never. A movie that seems funnier now than it did twenty years ago. This is my shortest episode, but that’s okay because It’s time to start work on my December episodes! Hope you enjoy my review of UHF!
Because of school, the holiday, and the need for a small break, I had to postpone the newest episode. I hate having to do this when I already only post two episodes a month, but I hate posting half-assed efforts even more, lol. So just keep checking back in the next few days and I hope to have a new episode posted before november is out. I have noticed a trend of people coming directly to my homepage on the days when I most often post my new episodes which means you guys care, and for that I am very thankful. Rest assured I will finish the episode that I am currently working on, and there will also be two fresh episodes for December.
Thanks again for your support!
I discovered this movie about 12 years ago only because I saw a preview for it on some other movie I had rented. It turned out to be one of those movies that I would watch multiple times simply because I wanted to show it to other people.
Over the years I re-visit it from time to time and It’s become even more prevalent to me as I’ve gotten older. It really is a rarity amongst the Rock n Roll movie genre.
I basically liked this scene that I cut. But mainly I was just really worried that it would be a needless disruption to the way this review was flowing. I still wanted to share my observation with everyone, so if you liked my “shadow” review, then you will probably enjoy seeing this clip saved from the cutting room floor.
I decided to take a slightly different approach with this video, especially after the craziness of my last episode. I still have my Topher trademarked humor, and that you’d expect from Movie Misperception. But I also take a much more genuine and calm approach to this particular review. Shadow of the Vampire is a very inventive movie showcasing two of the best actors of their generation, at the height of their game. Come join me as I re-visit John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe in 2000′s Shadow of the Vampire.
Just a heads up. I’ve been releasing episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays. But what can I say, life got in the way this week. I am currently in the shoot and edit stage, which means you should see the new episode wed the 26th or early on Thursday the 27th. It will be another Halloween appropriate review. Thanks for stopping by!
